Working on making some videos in preperation for a future AMV Hell release (Yeah, my hopes are high) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good software for the following uses.

1: Ripping audio from DVD formats, or other medium. There are a lot of funny audio clips I'd like to take from movies and mix with anime clips, but I want to find the best method possible.

2: Ripping video clips from DVD formats. For the same purpose, opposite roles as mentioned above. DVD quality videos are the bar to shoot for after all.

Ripping from CDs is easily done enough with WMP, so I've no troubles there.

For ripping video, just follow this: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/

For audio, just follow the same steps, and when you get to the part with dgindex, look in the program for an option to decode the audio to wav, or something like that.

*Bows to your awesomeness*

Thanks.

Okay, now I'm bashing my head in my desk trying to figure out these instructions. I'm ripping the VOB files easily enough from DVDs, but when trying to follow the editing instructions I was told to DL AviSynth to use. Well I DLed and installed it, but it's not a program, it's just a bunch of plugins. I have no clue as to what it does, and that isn't explained well at all.

What program should I be using to edit and convert these files? ><

*Edit 2*

Nevermind, found the AMVapp part. I'll get used to this sooner or later.

*Edit 3*

After a few hours of trial, error, and alchohol, I think I got the hang of it. Now I just need a better editor program and I'll be set to make some good ones.
