I would really like to contribute to the AMV Hell 4 project. I have the complete evangelion platnum box set on DVD. I was wondering if there was ANY video editing software where i could edit right off the DVD. I don't wanna have to rip all 26 episodes....thanks for your help :P

Hmm i don't think there's a program like that but i might be wrong :(

"Editing from the DVD"? That's a new one. No, I don't think any software exists that can perform that feature. You may be able to play them from your TV and record them onto your computer, but I'm more comfortable with ripping the full episodes with very high quality. I recommend you choose specific episodes you want to rip, but before you do that you need to plan out your amv. So you'll know which episodes to burn and you won't waste space and/or time.

There is a video editing ap called Cyberlink Powerdirector Express. The program is basic (cant compare to Adobe and Pinnacle)and very easy to use. Any newbie can use it. And you can import the DVD straight to the program!
