A must see. This was defiantly a bad ass movie. I just got back from it and all I could think was "Miniguns make me hard". But really I think the only scene they used actual ammo in was the minigun scene because you could hear the round "pop" when they'd leave the barrels as well as the truck they shot the way it was Swiss cheesed looked great. You could also (for the best that I could) count the tracer rounds, one ever 4th bullet. The ending was somberly displayed but with a truthful message of brotherhood presented about serving for your country. I've also got to say it was nice to see real helicopters, boats, air craft carriers, and submarines as opposed to CGI. So go see it, you'll like it despite the opening kinda giving you a background into the Seal Team's soldiers.

I've been wanting to see this movie since I first heard about it. Being in the military ain't easy I know a couple of guys who are pretty damn lucky to still be here. One was in a Humvee that ran over an ied and the other got shot through his collarbone and neck with the bullet missing anything major and lodging just below the skin on the opposite side of his neck. Support the troops even if you don't support the war cause they all have families waiting back home for them.

I took a chunk of shrapnel in the neck from a RPG in 2001 before my medical discharge (for my hips not that injury). It wasn't all too bad aside from the burning pain, medic said it came close to my left Subclavian vein. I'll take a picture of the scar someday, as soon as my niece is done playing with my digital camera (which is most likely never).

I've always said, "Do not hate your soldiers that fight for your right to speak the way you do and live the way you do. Hate the politicians and leaders that send them into combat to fight wars that are probably needless if they had done their jobs right in the first place."

Recruitment numbers are down, gotta get em somehow :P I figured you weren't but still, had to chime in about that. Join the Field Artillery division if you like big guns. 1st Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, of the 75th Field Artillery Brigade out of Fort Sill, myself. I was a primer for my Howitzer squad until I got changed to FO (Forward Observer). How I got shot at with a RPG lol. I was spotting targets ahead of an armored column patrol. I've killed people, but they were either shooting at me directly or my fellow soldiers. Doesn't really eat me up like some people, I think having to radio to the armor column for a medic was worse hehe.

currently recruiting numbers are down because the army is downsizing (all factions of the military are now) so in some MOS's there are no slots available. I was fortunate to get into Infantryman while I could. big guns bore me, an explosion is nice, but I'd rather shoot holes through those shooting at me

great movie, my dad loved it as well (he hates R-rated movies). that sniper was badass! the teamwork was sharp and made for a deadly team, kinda a bummer that the rest of the movie paled in comparison
