after listening to the songs I got to say im not impressed, in my opinion the only song from this list that I would go wit is the mozart dubstep (dont know why people are pissed at this song). The way I see it this song would be playing and the footage would be all random clips of animes that have a apocalypse theme (robot, alien, zombie, nuclear, environmental, and demon).

The across the universe one in my opinion I can sum it up in one word BORING (chick looked stoned and couldn't understand what she was singing)

The last one I can sum it up in three letters WTF (dont think I need to explain that one)

Using the end of the world song for the opening is too obvious especially if were probably gonna hear it like 10 times in this AMV Hell.

The Mozart Dubstep seems to fit the best. It mixes that apocalyptic feel that this AMV Hell is going for with the dubstepping that represents the chaos of the internet in our otherwise idealistic information age.

But if we ultimately shoot that one down, I would like to put my bid in for the opening:
Still Alive, the theme song to Portal.

Because, let's face it; whether the end is truly coming or not, there will be people who are "Still Alive". lol

Dubstep sucks.
I was going to type out a big multi-paragraph explanation of why we shouldn't use that dubstep song, but I get the feeling that the people in favor of using dubstep would have the same reaction to opposition no matter what, so your statement is probably a better summation than whatever I was going to type.

So, am I the only one that finds it hilarious that SSG is finally acknowledging our input, despite barely ever talking to any of us in the past when we attempted to communicate with him?

Though it may be dubstep, the Mozart one isn't actualy a bad choice for Amv Hell, it would make a nice, kick ass intro. But it is dubstep thus : you get haters.

I think Foo Fighters - These Days (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bCL6J9otjU) would be awesome for the ending, but possibly the beginning as well, although I like it for the ending because it's long and starts off pretty slow.

I think the opening song should be upbeat or fast like the previous AMVHells. it sets the tone. for the ending song, it's always been a thematic song, a ballad of some sort, or in 5's case a pop compilation that still fit pretty well as a thematic ending. I'm probably not using the word "thematic" right. whatever.

the problem is that there's so many awesome ending songs to choose from! The End by the doors would be awesome, we'll meet again would be AWESOME in so many ways...

Talking with my friend (an outside source and Hell lurker) about AMV Hell has revealed an outside opinion: according to him, Lyrical dissonance is a major staple of AMV Hell "humor"...so a song that captures that would be good for the OP.
The Jazz ver. of "So Long..." put to some really graphic or violent imagery is a suggestion, much how like "Komm, Susser Todd" is so lyrically dissonant with the events going on when it's playing in EoE. End of the World, Graphic Images, that song...BAM. I'd say we have an OP. Shadow, although suggesting a pony-song* was on the right track, happy upbeat songs placed to VIOLENCE or other SHOCKING imagery seems to be a nice humor source and would work for an OP.

Sorry, I can't say that I'm a fan of the Mozart Dubstep - I've no prejudicial objection to dubstep, but that particular track just grated on the ear, I'm afraid.

Is there any chance of a watcher with an interest in songwriting contributing an original tune? I really enjoyed the opening to AMV Hell 4, it really reinforced a sense of community surrounding the Hells.

A low key sight like AMV.org has a low population but normaly has better overall content.

but big brand sight like youtube has a huge population and is littered with rubbish and links that take you to videos where either the audios been blocked or the whole video has been removed due to copy right.
thats somthing youtube needs to sort.
If the block or delete a video they should delete the link to it as well.
