I think the old concept of having the community create videos using specific songs is in need of a revisiting, there's certain artists I don't think get enough attention (though it wouldn't be my final decision which songs get picked). Is anyone interested in that idea, or would you suggest a different special episode to kick off the season?

It might be fun to see, still looking for some drop dead funny stuff like back in the day. What about doing some X mini's again, the ones from season 1 were funny. I think most enjoyed the bad stuff mini.

Based on the rules, I assumed we were supposed to keep our videos work safe, at the very least. That is to say, no full nudity or harsh profanity is allowed.

Anyway, back on topic, I seriously don't see them making another hentai episode, and I find that mildly disappointing.

0 and /0 spawned some hilarious videos. I'd like to see another championship edition, but would also strongly support a new "bad stuff" Minis episode. Personally, I think they spawn better content since young and inexperienced AMV makers would have to sit it out, it'd all be on the older more experienced part of the community to get it done.

The "Whistle" clip I made was about as ecchi as I am willing to go, so prolly no interest from me in that type of project.
Although I would be willing to do something with tons of bad language....

I kinda liked the CE episode, as suggested, but if I remember, the same songs came up way too many times and it seemed repetative. (dunno, been a while since I watched it)

I'd contribute, or at the very least, I'd attempt something with that audio clip from Back to the Future Part III that was talking about him. I don't think a lot of others would have stuff to work with if we did this one, though.

I can see all of us having plenty of racist, sexist, and generally offensive ideas saved up. I do, at least. I can easily see this one working. Let's be honest: Who doesn't have the occasional racist thought while watching anime?

We used to have a running joke with ST:TNG that Riker was having a ped relationship with Wesley Crusher.
Rewatch the "Encounter at Farpoint" episode when Riker says "Oh, and Wesley....see you onboard." with a very very pervy grin on his face.

Of those, I would push for the ear-bleed episode, probably a wider appeal, and less restricted (for sourcing)

How about a championship edition that instead of covering selected songs, it's limited to songs from a certain decade? "AMV Minis: Championship Edition (The 60s')", then we could do the 70s', 80s', etc. 50s' might be too difficult.

80s would probably be the rational cutoff for potential themes. I doubt most here have listened to enough music from the 70s or before to get a full episode out of it. And even then, the 80s might be pushing it, outside of meme songs that most know about that were made then.

What I would like to see is the championship edition have various audio clips and music clips where some are naturally funny and other that are naturally serious. The idea being that some clips it is just making it fit the best where others it requires some creative thinking. The audio clips should come from a variety of sources such as classical music, rock music, pop music, tv shows, old movies, new movies, etc.

I have already thought of some clips to use.

What if we cut out naturally funny audio altogether? Working with stuff that's already funny is too easy, seeing as how the average kid will laugh at it anyway, regardless of the quality of the clip made with the joke.

I was thinking of that. But I thought about how someone who is really good at this could take something that is already kind of funny and make it hilarious.

True, I suppose that there are people that don't solely rely on the audio being humorous and actually put effort into making their combo of anime and funny audio even funnier.
