With enough tough love, we can make these people learn. But not with constructive criticism. Rather, with harsh, threatening criticism bordering on harassment. We can weed out the kids that way and keep the strong ones. I've already given most people their two strikes, and my system has no third, so the floodgates are open anyway. It shall be glorious once you and I get to that.

I'm remaining optimistic. If nothing else it'll increase the traffic on the site for a while. If there is ad revenue then this will be good for our overlords. If not then it will be good for us forumites.

Depends. We may have a bunch of new people signing up, but I get this negative feeling that they'll only be here to ask where AMV Hell 6 is and won't really want to discuss anything beyond that. Of course, that could just be my pessimism shinning through.

Personally I think the chance of either of those is low, but it certainly would be hilarious if it was. Also, I'm sorry, but why on earth did you announce you were gonna make an announcement, two days before your announcement. Couldn't you have just waited two days and then told us the big news? Or made the big announcement already? The news can't have been too big because otherwise you would have announced it earlier. But I digress.

Only thing about the video directory is that it still may not be compatible with vB 4.0, which is the reason it was dumped in the first place.
Honestly, I think adding anything new to the site would be interesting.

I made sure that none of mine had watermarks.
That means nothing if your DVD footage was pure interlaced and you forgot to fix it or, God forbid, you got your stuff from an anime streaming site like Crunchyroll or something,
The former applies to one of my entries, due to me doing a lot of guesswork at the time, rather than just sitting down and reading the guides.
