Episode 5 was a very strong entry in the AMV Minis with some very memorable and distinctive clips, contenders not just for "best of episode" but "best of series".

To pick out the top four, though:

-Evangelion/Like a Boss: A lively and original concept.

-Utawarerumono/Family Guy: I know that complaining about Family Guy clips is what all the cool kids are doing nowadays, but I don't care - this is a great example of dialogue-based clips done right (in fact, the dialogue clips throughout this episode are of a very high quality overall), and the extra art works well too.

-Komodo No Jikan/Venture Brothers: It's the final shot of this clip that seals the deal for me - the girl flailing her arms about as she flees wailing makes me crack up every time. This clip shows that dialogue clips do not need to be derivative: the anime can enhance the audio, not merely accompany it.

-Evangelion/Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: brilliantly inventive, this also shows the benefits of dialogue clips in marrying together unrelated shows quite seamlesly.

The Hayate The Combat Butler/Mighty Boosh clip also receives an Honourable Mention.

Naruto Shippuden - Keep it Gay: Funny, Short and sweet.
Code Geass - Family Guy: It's like those 2 clips were meant for each other. The lip synching could've been better, but I find myself still laughing hard at this one. It's odd, cuz I hated that particular episode of FG. Proof that FG jokes aren't a problem if they're done right.
Hayate No Gotoku - Old Greg: Funny choice of audio, and the facial expressions worked really well in that scene.
PetoPeto-san - I'm in h-town trick: This one makes me smile for unknown reasons. The sound looks like it jumped a bit during conversion, but otherwise nice.
Chobits - Prostitute Mickey: The nonchalant expression on "Goofy's" face throughout the whole thing is priceless.

To make a tiny quibble, I think that "Like a Boss" worked a bit better with Excel Saga in AMV Hell 5 (the guy in that show fits the song PERFECTLY). Ah well....
