I was told you'd like this, so I'm posting here now!
So I was watching AMV Hell the other day, and found looking up the anime/song distracting, since the segments are not even numbered in the video. How cool would it be, I thought, if there'd be a subtitle track with info of the anime, song and band.
So I decided to create one. Then I wondered, How the hell do I do this? and after some consideration decided to split each video in to frames and check them for the TV (http://i.imgur.com/Y4pAwoM.jpg) with some python, feeding the resulting frames to another script which then timed some subs up from a parsed info page. After I got that working, I figured why not to do the rest of them. So I did the rest of them. And here we are!
So! Downloads:
Get the subtitles here! MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ieg7nmtlnpgz7rq) (AMV Hell 1-5 + CE)
And the Zeroes: MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/?40rc7sk6b7uh6m6) (AMV Hell 0 & /0)
You also need the videos itself, but since you are here already...
Here are some screenshots of how they look: Imgur.com (http://imgur.com/a/OOSGy) (Nothing fancy, I'm afraid)
The lines go like this:
1. First line is the number or cutaway name
2. Second line is the source anime(s)
3. Third line is either "<Song> by <Artist>" or "<Clip> from <Source>". This was done automatically and I didn't bother to fix all the lines.
4. Fourth line is the editor's name
AFAIK all players should grab the .asses, but seems like VLC doesn't update the shown subtitles when forwarding/rewinding. (If you're on Linux, I suggest mplayer2)
Feel free to join the conversation over at Reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/17c5n5/ranime_i_present_you_amv_hells_with_an/), too.
