…Ever get that feeling that AMVS just aren’t…outrageous enough?

…No?

Well, here it is anyway!

This is a project utilizing the “AMV Hell Style” of editing to pay tribute to the 80’s cartoon show “Jem and the Holograms”. One of the main aspects of this show was music as the main characters were Rock/Pop Stars and each of its episodes would contain music videos from them. The main groups of the show include Jem and the Holograms, The Bitch f-err….Misfits, and The Stingers. So, this compilation contains songs from those three while having a few extras used in the show not by them. I should also note you might see re edited versions of skits which appeared in the AMV Hell series, amv.avi, and gainaxxx that was done by me prior.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to assist me in the creation this project.

Thank you. It was one hell of an ambitious endeavor, but with assistance from talented individuals and a few all nighters in ****ty vegas it turned out to be everything i wanted it to be. Couldn't ask for much more than that.

Hmm...I feel if anything posted in "Other Videos" deserved to be hosted in that download section, it was mecha hell. Again, this was just a vanity project and not everyone knows what/who the hell jem is. Plus, i think zarx once said he doesn't really look at these other projects anyway. Be that as it may, glad you enjoyed it...Not sure if i'll try a full length project by myself again, but i'll still work with the amv tributes team...When/If EvilestDeath ever stops being lazy as hell...

I just loved every minute of the video. Especially the edited and extended version of Falling In Love With A Stranger. Also Ranma seems to work so well with Jem's style of music and I'm going to stop now because otherwise this will go on for ages. But to put it all simply I enjoyed this as much as I /expected/ to enjoy 6.66 (which was a lot).

Glad you enjoyed it. That version of Falling in Love With A Stranger was my original vision for that video, but given hell's restrictions that wasn't happening so i made that other version for 6.66 and this is the true version. Seems i'm getting mixed reactions from this thing which is what i pretty much expected. I'm surprised people liked it at all given the lack of artist pool here but that's obviously by design.

Also, i consider the ranma 1/2 - It all depends on the mood i'm in to be my personal "masterpiece"...probably due to skimming 100 + episodes to pull it together.

Yeah, you have to request permission for a large upload. Also, if you really want those people to download it, give them a 480p mp4 version so the "lol, filesize" excuse doesn't come into play.

I'm tempted to side with humnut here given how much i went through to justify this **** being HD in the first place. I'm somewhat familiar with how their site hosting works going by what happened with AMV.avi but why can't i just give both versions like i did here? Also, will i get **** for any streaming site at all besides youtube?

They only allow one version to be stored for local download. You can put up the download links to the larger versions as external links, though. And as far as I know, streaming sites are okay now.

Wow, not very high in the way of file sizes they list. Hell, even if i went through the trouble of re encoding for that mp4 i think it would still end up too high. (and not looking that great) Worst case scenario, is a on site download of the AMV mandatory BEFORE you create a thread to show it?

Also, how am i supposed to use filezilla? Sorry, first time using this program.

The site is designed with short amvs in mind. And no, on-site hosting is not mandatory. You just have to have it registered in the catalog and link to the catalog entry on your thread. Given how their catalog works, this will take you a while.
