Hey Guys,
My wonderful university has blocked the dowload of all .torrent files... as such, I can't download the AMV hell dvd iso. Can someone kindly e-mail me a zipped version of the file...please....

I've never tried to zip a DVD ISO, but I imagine that as DVDs are already compressed, zip won't reduce the size much, so it'll still be 4GB, not really suitable for email.

I never though the rumours about AOL-users were true, but this just beats all.. :')

No no no no no... I need a zipped vesion of the .torrent file... not the .iso file....
If I get the torrent file, azureus can handle it, but my university keeps us from downloading the .torrent files.

If it makes so much sense, why hasn't somebody zipped the file and sent it to me?!
Anyone??? Cmon, it takes a sum total of 1 minute to do...

Your university uses a transparent http proxy to block transfers of .torrent files? yuck. (or even worse, has something sniffing traffic going by and kills the connection, like the new filtering comcast has).
You could just find either an outside proxy server, or use tor to get the .torrent file from whatever site hosts it. Just don't run bittorrent itself on top of tor.
