Recently had the pleasure of discovering Another and Shiki back to back. Really enjoyed them. Other anime in the same vain, with which I am familiar, would be When They Cry.
Can anyone suggest something similar?

Umineko no naku koro ni
The other two seasons of when they cry (kai and rei) and the OVA (Outbreak) (fourth season is completely happy with no murders at all, called Kira)
Ookami Kakushi
Danganronpa

Loups=Garous (Film)
Monster (rather long, but worth it)

I never understood this, why would someone want to watch something similar to what they already have? When people do that it only leads to comparing of the two shows and the saturation of the show's genre.
Variety is far more satisfying and enjoyable.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has vampires and zombies murdering people in over the top ways.
Shadow Star Narutaru has Pokemon butchering people in hilarious ways. You should read the manga instead, though.
Supernatural: The Animation has monsters mutilating people in stupid ways.
Zetman has artificial humanoids eviscerating people in ridiculous ways. You should read the manga instead, though.

Is that some kind of new anime title that deals with Brazilians in prep for the World Cup? :P
Ookami Kakushi
I personally found that series lacking, overall.
I've heard that Pupa deals with interestingly disturbing stuff, might be worth a look.

A fair point. I suppose I'm hoping to find something that will give me the same level of enjoyment as a previous experience.

I would recommend reading the manga instead, as the anime is heavily censored (until a blu ray comes out possibly) and the anime is like 3 minutes per episode, which ruins the story flow quite a bit

Thanks all for the responses. I think
Ookami Kakushi
Monster
are the two that seem to stand out for me.
Might give When They Cry Rei a shot. But I thought the 3rd (?) season de-evolved into smutty fan service.
Note: As it happens I've already seen Danganronpa & Umineko no naku koro ni. Good but not in the same league as Another/Shiki.

^When They Cry goes like this:
When They Cry
When They Cry Kai
When They Cry Rei (Shorter than first two, and the end is a bit meh)
When They Cry Kira (This one is the smutty fan-service)
When They Cry Outbreak OVA (Was supposed to have more, as ended sort of cliffhanger, but so far has only been one. Pretty good though, as sort of different take on first season with updated animation)
Darker Than Black
Darker Than Black: Gemini of the Meteor

Should really watch When They Cry Kai, as that follows on properly from first season and explains why everything happened the way it did. Also some stuff in Rei won't make much sense without it. Kira is the only one which can be skipped

Should have mentioned - I watch Kai after I watched the original
