So this was as expected over all horrible. With to exceptions for me.
I was literally rolling at the floor laughing at 01. And 06 is probably one of my favorite AMV Hell Tennis additions.
For the worst I have to go with the Panty and Stocking Toilet one. Why would somebody ever do something like that again. T.T

Some of these actually weren't THAT bad.
25 and 27 especially made me laugh even. issues in these clips were obvious though.
as for which was the worst imo.

20 was a hot contender as for the very first.
But **** then along came 21...
Also 10 needs to eat a dick because of Frozen.
Also 4? Come on man you could've done better there were a bunch of scenes in that show that would've made it better.

37 was pretty intriguing. However, seems like one of those things where the lack of comedy nets it a pass.

27: That's kinda amusing, but what the hell was with that 2.5 seconds of void at the end? Total **** up.

So... While the overall execution of most clips was indeed pretty awful overall, there were more than a few good intentions and ideas in this challenge that could be easily saved from the scrap heap in the future. I mean, Space Dandy and Legend of the Outrageous Space Prussians actually have some solid, untapped potential as sources. Also, as far as I can remember, both the Room and Epic Sax Guy (granted, if remade properly, the latter shouldn't be allowed to even dare going beyond a six-second mark) have been pretty underused so far, and I can see a few chuckles coming out from a proper use of either of those.

Anyway, my favorite (i.e: the one that actually made me smile a little) out of these ones was probably that #13 (namely, that last second scream. Otherwise, eh...)
The worst, though? A close one, but I'm gonna go for #20.

I vote for 21. There are some that are worse then it, but 21 was one of the few that actually made me laugh because of how bad it was. The idea(if you can call dancing to music an idea) was terrible and the constant jump between replaying the same scene over and over got me.

Well for me the ones which could have been good if shortened down/if AMV Hell 7 had the room for them were: 1, 9, 11, 15 and 34
The alright/slightly watchable ones for me are: 14, 16 and 30

Bearing in mind that I understand these were rejects and that I'm unable to make AMVs myself, here's my rundown:

1. Some dumb harem + saxophone. Makes me miss that guy from Trigun….

3. No rhyme or reason to it.

4. BUAHAHA...okay, that’s unintentionally funny. It was going to happen at some point.

5. Wasn’t weird enough. Akira clips need to get the weridness of the movie into the humor in order for it to work.

7. Bad, but hey…it fits Dandy’s personality.

8. Bad song + parody of bad song = bad clip.

9. Not as funny as the episode it’s making fun of.

10. Creepy, kinda like the inappropriately cutesy ED theme of Gantz.

So, in my preliminary round, I figured that the clips that I had a bone to pick with were 3, 8, 9, 10, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, and 32 (28 is lucky that I didn't remember the first challenge at the time).
In the semi-finals, I slimmed it down to the ones that I seriously had issues with. Which were 8, 18, 20, 21, and 24.
Lastly I narrowed it down to two despicable entries: 8 and 21, which I'll elaborate a little upon.

8 is disjointed like hell. There's a slight semblance of a correlation between the video and the audio, but the kicker is the accentuation of the overall discordance of the clip by its dissonant audio switch.

21 is a rehash of a clip from the original AMV Hell 6, only done lazier. It didn't work back when 6 was released, it sure as hell doesn't work right now.

During my final decision, I disregarded the prejudice I have towards 21 for its author being a faggot and evaluated the clips by their "merits".

The discordance turned to be more glaring than the combination of the lame, ****ty joke and the lazy editing. So, number 8 gets my vote.

10 was awful because it uses Frozen and a screen capture of snow monster, it wasn't interesting at all plus unoriginal. 16 made no sense thus stupid. 19 was boring from slow cuts. 20 was my third choice for being awful, 10 being second, because Gurren Lagenn and Scott Pilgrim, interesting idea but wrong choice of characters and scenes, the cuts were everywhere and couldn't figure where the video was going. 28 being my first is basically it was a rip-off of AMV Hell 6.66's intro.

haven't done this before, but I guess I might as well start now:

1. As others have mentioned, this cycled too much.

3. You do realize you're not REQUIRED to use the entire audio, right? Especially if it means speeding the audio up without making said speed up part of the joke? Just use the part you need, and cut the rest. Other than that I kinda liked it.

10. adding a "snowman song" to a video with a snowman =/= funny. Not without more joke. I mean, apart from there being a snowman, the fight didn't fit the song AT ALL WHATSOEVER. I guess you could've been going for the irony joke ("it's funny because he's destroying the snowman while singing about building one!"), but even that was a fail. Sure, he was TRYING to destroy the snowman, but I didn't really see much indication of the snowman actually taking damage.

14. This clip I actually woulda liked a lot if you used a more fitting video.

15. This was a nice attempt at trying something different with an overused joke. Still an overused joke, though, and the "something different" bit wasn't really that great. B- for the effort, though (I don't give A's or A+'s on effort so easily.....)

16 obvious joke =/= funny. Especially not when said obvious joke has been done a million times with other obvious sources. See 15 for advice.

17. audio quality seemed pretty poor to me. Other than that the clip was......decent. Not much better than that, honestly.

18. Look on her face didn't match the words coming out of her mouth well enough for this to work out well. Joke was only decent, though, so I guess that doesn't matter much.

21. Where's the joke? No seriously, where the **** is the joke? Was there even a joke to begin with?

25. Really? Really? Really? Inside troll jokes never worked well in Hell. Or were you really just going for the potty humour? Second scenario doesn't work well, either. Too generic of a joke to be funny.

28. This was submitted to Hell 7? Seems more like it was made for the Minis. Bad joke either way, though (on top of the fact that it's basically a copy)

30. This clip I actually kinda liked. Would've liked it more if it wasn't Dragonball....but I'm not sure of many other sources that would've worked well.

31. This clip would've been a LOT funnier if the guy failed at beating that boar. This is an irony joke you should've gone for. Would've been a pretty good clip if done right. Even if you can't use this specific source with the new joke, you can always use another.

32. really should've used a different video source for this one. Even then it would probably still be terrible, though.

33. I liked the song, and I liked how well you made it fit....but the whole "fitting a song to a band playing a totally different genre of song" joke is WAAAAAAY too overdone and generic.

34. I kinda liked this one. Not enough to consider it good enough for Hell 7, though.

35. not that great of a joke (more genericness.....) Also felt weird seeing the demon chick get up to fly only to magically be on the dude's shoulder again the very next scene. Her getting up to fly should've been where you get into a battle scene with the rest of the song (although it still would've been too generic of a joke)

36. Don't really get how the collosal titan is "elastic". Are muscles supposed to be elastic when there's no skin around them or something? Also, panning the camera away from Eren is NOT the same thing as "fading from sight". Seriously, there's absolutely no indication whatsoever that he actually disappeared, even to turn into a titan (which I only know happens because I've actually seen some of the anime. a newcomer likely won't get that implication at all whatsoever).

37 another clip I kinda liked, but probably not enough to consider it Hell 7 material. Would've been better if the lyrics were more understandable, but that's not really something you can control unless there's another version of the same song.



All the clips I skipped mentioning I didn't really feel were worth mentioning. (for various reasons, depending on each clip)

Seeing as how we're supposed to vote for the WORST this round....I'll have to suffer through the video at least one more time to come to a conclusion which one I hated most. Probably will be one of the ones I didn't feel were worth mentioning.

… huh. Apparently seeing so many bad videos in a row has (hopefully temporarily) altered what seems funny to me. Near the end of the onslaught, I was actually smirking or laughing at several that I'm sure I wouldn't have found funny had I seen them separately. I'm going to have to try to watch this again, piecemeal.

Now that I'm starting to look over it again:
1 stretched its gag out so long I swore I was watching a Family Guy episode.
2 got a quick snort out of me in a "so-bad-it's-funny" kind of way.
3 goes on too long - same as 1.
Okay 4, I can stop hearing that song now - for eternity, if at all possible.
To be honest, I kinda like 5, but it felt like it was missing something.
7 reminds me of the "Shaun of the Dead" reference in AMV Hell 4, but it was done better there.
8 is certainly awkward, switching tracks halfway-ish into the clip and another second without audio at the end.
The clip for 9 didn't feel right for the audio, *and* it was too long.
10 was weird without really being funny.
12 was a little weak, but hardly terrible.
As I'm watching past this point, I realize how difficult it is to comment on every last one of these, and am a bit impressed so many of you can find different things to say about the lot of them. Any of the ones I've watched but haven't mentioned up to now strike me as bad but not particularly noteworthy otherwise.
Oh, yay - a rehash of Llamas with Hats in 14 (I know it's a different series, but the dialogue reminds me strongly of it, as well as the fact that the author made both series).
15 has an awkward audio transition, same as 8.
Congrats, 16; you made me cringe a little at the end.

19 was just a pun about bulls, wasn't it?
21 startled a laugh out of me the first time watching it - not the second time around.

Having amazing powers of foresight, I can see that the video that is currently in the lead is one that actually has hardly been mentioned more than a few times so far.
Interesting results so far... Usually there is a lot more correlation between the discussion and the votes.

So, in my preliminary round, I figured that the clips that I had a bone to pick with were 3, 8, 9, 10, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, and 32 (28 is lucky that I didn't remember the first challenge at the time).
In the semi-finals, I slimmed it down to the ones that I seriously had issues with. Which were 8, 18, 20, 21, and 24.
Lastly I narrowed it down to two despicable entries: 8 and 21, which I'll elaborate a little upon.

8 is disjointed like hell. There's a slight semblance of a correlation between the video and the audio, but the kicker is the accentuation of the overall discordance of the clip by its dissonant audio switch.

21 is a rehash of a clip from the original AMV Hell 6, only done lazier. It didn't work back when 6 was released, it sure as hell doesn't work right now.

During my final decision, I disregarded the prejudice I have towards 21 for its author being a faggot and evaluated the clips by their "merits".

The discordance turned to be more glaring than the combination of the lame, ****ty joke and the lazy editing. So, number 8 gets my vote.

haven't done this before, but I guess I might as well start now:

1. As others have mentioned, this cycled too much.

3. You do realize you're not REQUIRED to use the entire audio, right? Especially if it means speeding the audio up without making said speed up part of the joke? Just use the part you need, and cut the rest. Other than that I kinda liked it.

10. adding a "snowman song" to a video with a snowman =/= funny. Not without more joke. I mean, apart from there being a snowman, the fight didn't fit the song AT ALL WHATSOEVER. I guess you could've been going for the irony joke ("it's funny because he's destroying the snowman while singing about building one!"), but even that was a fail. Sure, he was TRYING to destroy the snowman, but I didn't really see much indication of the snowman actually taking damage.

14. This clip I actually woulda liked a lot if you used a more fitting video.

15. This was a nice attempt at trying something different with an overused joke. Still an overused joke, though, and the "something different" bit wasn't really that great. B- for the effort, though (I don't give A's or A+'s on effort so easily.....)

16 obvious joke =/= funny. Especially not when said obvious joke has been done a million times with other obvious sources. See 15 for advice.

17. audio quality seemed pretty poor to me. Other than that the clip was......decent. Not much better than that, honestly.

18. Look on her face didn't match the words coming out of her mouth well enough for this to work out well. Joke was only decent, though, so I guess that doesn't matter much.

21. Where's the joke? No seriously, where the **** is the joke? Was there even a joke to begin with?

25. Really? Really? Really? Inside troll jokes never worked well in Hell. Or were you really just going for the potty humour? Second scenario doesn't work well, either. Too generic of a joke to be funny.

28. This was submitted to Hell 7? Seems more like it was made for the Minis. Bad joke either way, though (on top of the fact that it's basically a copy)

30. This clip I actually kinda liked. Would've liked it more if it wasn't Dragonball....but I'm not sure of many other sources that would've worked well.

31. This clip would've been a LOT funnier if the guy failed at beating that boar. This is an irony joke you should've gone for. Would've been a pretty good clip if done right. Even if you can't use this specific source with the new joke, you can always use another.

32. really should've used a different video source for this one. Even then it would probably still be terrible, though.

33. I liked the song, and I liked how well you made it fit....but the whole "fitting a song to a band playing a totally different genre of song" joke is WAAAAAAY too overdone and generic.

34. I kinda liked this one. Not enough to consider it good enough for Hell 7, though.

35. not that great of a joke (more genericness.....) Also felt weird seeing the demon chick get up to fly only to magically be on the dude's shoulder again the very next scene. Her getting up to fly should've been where you get into a battle scene with the rest of the song (although it still would've been too generic of a joke)

36. Don't really get how the collosal titan is "elastic". Are muscles supposed to be elastic when there's no skin around them or something? Also, panning the camera away from Eren is NOT the same thing as "fading from sight". Seriously, there's absolutely no indication whatsoever that he actually disappeared, even to turn into a titan (which I only know happens because I've actually seen some of the anime. a newcomer likely won't get that implication at all whatsoever).

37 another clip I kinda liked, but probably not enough to consider it Hell 7 material. Would've been better if the lyrics were more understandable, but that's not really something you can control unless there's another version of the same song.



All the clips I skipped mentioning I didn't really feel were worth mentioning. (for various reasons, depending on each clip)

Seeing as how we're supposed to vote for the WORST this round....I'll have to suffer through the video at least one more time to come to a conclusion which one I hated most. Probably will be one of the ones I didn't feel were worth mentioning.

I think ten is most deserving of "****iest Clip". The game footage looked like it was recorded on a toaster, the audio quality is pretty under watery, no attempt and any kind of sync between audio and visuals. Just on the technical side it's probably the worst here. Also, it wasn't funny, to say the least.
