AMV Minis Challenge #30: Intro Parody
Entry Period: November 8 - December 5
Videos in this challenge need to parody an intro sequence.
Some examples from previous amv hell/minis include the Death Note intro parody using Lucky Star, The A-Team intro parody using Azumanga Daioh, or The Greatest American Hero parody using Tiger and Bunny.
Your intro parody probably needs to be from a tv series, but if there is a clearly defined "intro" on a particular movie or game or some other media, that would be fine too.
Before creating your video, please be sure to read over the following page, which details the rules and explains how to submit your video:

The past intro parodies have been higher quality than most clips as well as offers a lot of potential for added effects. Which often helps such clips, I look forward to this challenge.

The Greatest American Hero parody using Tiger and Bunny.
That H7 clip is cute and all, but it doesn't really parody the intro sequence ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_ZUSQQdoS4) to “The Greatest American Hero” as much as simply use the theme song.
Better examples of opening parodies might include The Evangelion/ Thunderbirds clip from M1E9 (http://youtu.be/inhbY-lmudE?t=3m46s) or the Haruhi/ Pretender clip from M2E8 (http://youtu.be/4G3Gx0lBA6c?t=10s).
Should be an interesting round, this is a nice excuse to hear some catchy TV themes in AMVs. But please, can we all just steer-clear of using the Transformers theme? We’ve heard it enough already.
Anybody with Redline footage - see what you can do with the intro from either Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (http://shukilevy.com/audio/jayce-and-the-wheeled-warriors/#prettyPhoto/1/) or Pole Position (http://shukilevy.com/audio/343-2/#prettyPhoto/1/). I'm looking at you, Boss.

A lot of the things I watch now don't even have intros (and if they do they aren't very exciting etc), so into my childhood I must go

I have another idea, but I'm gonna try to come up with other ideas as it's a weak idea atm

i'm just thinking about the amount of Attack on Titan versions there's been.
It might be a good one to steer clear of

Saw the title of this challenge and immediately thought Haganai plus Friends theme song. Scroll down to see this, so at least thank you for saving me the work of doing one and THEN finding this. Back to the drawing board

sorry for spoiling it for you. if you can make it "better" i would say go for it, as this was just a yt upload and never was related to amv hell or amv nightmare. but that's just my opinion
also, thought of a good idea, but the tv show doesn't really have an intro to my knowledge, so i might save that for a reg skit idea

Man, the possibilities are endless, but I just had one that I've saving up for ever since, and I think it would be perfect.

Just for fun I tried to think of some concepts even though I couldn't actually make them myself, nothin' after an hour of deep thought. Guess' I lost my mojo.

there is alot of material to choose from.
one of my favorite intro parodies is the top gear azumanga crossover.

Um… thanks, Panda… for nothin’?
This is turning into the most complex editing project I’ve done to date, even tougher than the art challenge.
With any luck- this’ll be my final contribution to these challenges, or at least the last “big” AMV I make for a long time.
Any Sailor Moon fans? Do something with the intro of M.A.S.K and Tuxedo Mask, would you?

Might have to butcher my intro audio to fit the max time constraint. Really want ed to do something from The Wire at first, but worried it wouldn't be recognizable to most. Which is a travesty, because that show is incredible.

Someone put down this idea for AMV hell 7 clips thread for editors to make I was going to do it but I felt the audio was never good enough to make any sense. Here I will show you.
So they suggested a mash up of this anime Yakitate Japan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hd0ViolSPI
mashed with the intro to the British 80's sitcom Bread.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PakK1egbBU
I always felt the important audio "Buh buh Bread!" in all audio samples was too mumbled for American ears to catch the joke and thus I never went through with the clip. However the actual show and meaning for Bread means money. Since it was about a family who had no jobs making money one way or another....legal and illegal.

Right now, extracting all the clips I need for my Mini. It's a combination of my favorite anime ever, and one of the best cartoons of the 90s.

I think I just got a great idea for Intro Parody using a Anime that's be used on AMV Hell before but only a little and users only have used episode 1 & a other from the 1st 24 episode.. and I think its time someone made a video using some of it newer episodes as it has over 700 of them. (Maybe you know what anime it is now?)
I got the idea once I've seen the newest opening theme, showing a big door that has a red "9" on it. Maybe you know the intro now... anyway I'm more or less done making it and I think it looks great.. however its 55 seconds and that's a little over.. I hope it ok as I got the full intro in that 55 seconds or do I need to make it 40 seconds? Not much time for this answer so I may just make two var. of it.

For best results, you should really try to trim it further.
The un-written rule is to try to stay <20 sec.

I see, well I know I can't get it too 20 sec but I think I can remove some of the starting & ending parts to make it 40 sec so it works to get ts intro parody & rules.
Edit: Well I got it down to 40s & 582ms. I hope that works.:sweatdrop:

Unfortunately, I don't believe I'm going to be able to get this one done. I have ideas, but I simply can't get decent sources for them. I could try to get it done with **** quality, but that's a bad idea. Maybe I'll get lucky and one of my attempts at a good source will end up working out before the deadline.

It was discouraging to find the opening I had in mind was over a minute long, but there is a shortened ver just under 20 secs, so hopefully, that'll work long enough to get the point across

Not going to get mine done. Was working on a shot for shot remake of the Law and Order SVU open, but only got about halfway there. Will probably pick it up at some point in the future, but then again, what's the point.
