Saw some of these things on YouTube recently, is this something I need to be pissed off about? I know I'm inactive I know I don't contribute anymore, but seeing AMVH content on some guy's video that has over a million views really rubs me the wrong way. If they're just "best ofs" of anime internet randomness, whatever, I get that, but where's the credit to the people here who made those submissions?

^unfortunately, this.

It'd be nice if they gave credit, but there's really not much you can do about it if they don't. It's not like you or anyone else can take them to court.

You can try and call them out on it in hopes that they'll care....but I highly doubt that'll get you anywhere.

Pretty sure the whole Vegeta "And I Will Always Love You" bit was one of ours, though this one lasted longer. Maybe not the best video example but there's so many of these anime vine things it's really just best to seek them out yourself. It's a shame because you see some genuinely amusing content, but when you notice clips you've seen from other sources that weren't properly credited . . it can be irritating. Feels like young punks scrounging off us ol' AMV mix n' match veterans without our proper shoutouts getting received.

Justice for Internet crimes isn't impossible. Just watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, they know how to handle crap like this.

But seriously, there's unfortunately not a whole lot we can do. You can report the video, but I doubt the admins on that site could consider AMVH copyright material. If anything, they'd probably set their sights on AMVH itself.

Fighting for an irrelevant, minuscule thing like this is just worth it if AMV Hell can get some advertisement out of this. You can either get the video properly credited in the description (which almost no one reads) or you could give the vine creators the Hell treatment and get exposure from a possible controversy (whether in your favour or against you). If you want to go safe, do the former, though you might not even get the creators to do that. If you want to take a chance, do the latter. If there's one thing the internet doesn't lack, it's schmucks with an attitude, just ask my plaything. Of course, you'd have to pray that it gets enough attention, and hope that the fallout doesn't kill what's left of Zarx's will to keep the site up and running.

First part of the clip in question has a logo, that one's likely from Hell, the logoless part looks like "original content". Something to keep in mind.
