I know in the stupid question thread it said not to ask when the next AMV Hell was coming out but I figured this one a little different of a situation.

I was just wondering if the idea had been tossed around at all? It's been 4 years since the first Championship Edition and wanted to know if there was any interest or plans on doing another one. It would probably be an entirely new group of people submitting videos. I think it would be awesome if our "generation" could have a Championship Edition. I realize that Zarxrax is probably busy enough with the Minis series. I'm just really trying to throw the idea into the mix. And I wanted to hear what other people thought about it.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be at all a bad idea since now we have more people that are submitting their own videos. But it would also need a good deal of work and good material. But we have already the season 2 of the Minis coming up, and people are also preparing for "Project Satan", so I'm not sure how many people will be able to participate... Still, it would be great to have another championship edition!

In a way, it was discussed before, but even then, I totally agree with the concept.

If I remember right, we discussed the name as well, being AMV Hell Ultimate Collection ^^

obviously I don't know what it was like here four years ago, but I still love the idea, and just glancing at the dates people signed up here gives you an idea of just how many newbies there are here (including myself). Alas, I don't see it happening any time soon, for reasons already stated.

Then again, franki, nobody's stopping you from doing a similar project.

haha, I could never do that. I don't have enough dedication or imagination to come up with songs, find judges, and be grabbing videos from everyone. although it doesn't sound incredibly difficult.

I appreciate the support guys, but it isn't just a lack of self confidence that's preventing me from doing it. My internet is way too slow to handle a project that requires so much sending and receiving of videos. I'm talking just a little better than dial up speed. Although, if anyone else wants to do it, I'd be willing to help them! The whole weekly contest thing just sounded fun and I'd love to see it happen again.

A championship edition 2 would be good but i'd just turn out to be evangelion clips, family guy voice overs, azumanga clips, monty python voice overs and that concert scene from harhui.

It would be cool if we had an AMV hell minis that didn't have any of these animes in them and see what the outcome would be.

Haha, i agree. Although don't forget all the Death Note clips too. Everyone said there were too many of those in 5. More variety would be nice though. The problem is that most of population of anime viewers only watch evangelion, azumanga or other sterotypical shows. It isn't the creators fault that those are the only things that pop up when they ask for entries.

We should make a special Minis episode for that. And we'll call it "Underdogs".

Anyways, I support a sequel to CE. I never took broad interest in the first. Maybe we should have a set of songs and whoever can make the best clip to that song wins & has that clip featured in the video.
