So I saw on the AMV Hell twitter that AMV Hell 8 is supposedly happening this year, but I haven't been able to find the announcement about submissions. The tweet said the submissions were being accepted this past June, so I don't know if the announcement was taken down or if the submission page is gone now. Does anyone know if it's actually happening or not or is that twitter more or less japes?

I would honestly take anything that is posted on the AMV Hell Twitter page with a grain of salt. As far as I know of SSG runs the Twitter page and he has been posting random title names for AMV Hell 8 for years and nothing has come from it. If there was anything on AMV Hell 8 being created something would be posted on AMV Hell (www.amvhell.com) or possibly on Anime Music Videos org (https://www.animemusicvideos.org) about submitting videos.
