Another day, another newfag asking obvious questions I bet.

My main reason for getting a file on this site was so I could download AMV Hell for a little project of mine. (Of course I would never claim credit for clips that aren't mine!)

My issue is, downloading required me to go to ANOTHER site, what gives? Am I doing something wrong, or do I really have to register for another site just to download the darn things? Are there any alternative places to get them?

Because the fewest time I give out sensitive information anywhere, the better.

No your doing it right. They don't host files here. They just upload them to file hosting sites so you can download them.

Most of those download sites like Megaupload and others have free and paid access. Free is limited and slow, paid is fast. The free access is generally annoying so you pay to download faster.

Often AMVs are also available through bittorrent.

Well, I actually know someone who has had a paid account on rapidshare for ages. And he uses it to it's fullest extent.

Me, I'm cheap. I use the free stuff, though I do buy download blocks on newsgroups for alt.binz.

They got it so that if you don't want ads you pay. It's annoying.

But they go farther than that my friend. They make it so your download is super slow if you don't pay for it.

As long as you have a halfway decent isp it's never that bad.

They limit the speed they PROVIDE. I just DLd 2 2-gig files, and while my connection can do 12Megs down, all I could get was less than 1. Because it was free. I do not know what speed is possible for paid, but I bet it beats my comcast.

newsgroups fastest, torrents can be just as fast. if not available on torrents, then maybe end up with DL sites.

what's the best site for downloading the amv hell series? i'd use youtube, but they're such pansies banning videos because they saw boobs. if it's one thing i hate most of all, it's censors. bad enough they cut all the slasher parts out of slasher movies

If your getting 12 megs down you better be paying out the ass XD
know the difference between Megabit and Megabyte :P

That my friend is false, Torrent speeds are like a box of chocolates.. You never know what your gonna get XD
