Making Cthulhu the new president isn't really a great idea.
1) Everyone who sees Cthulhu giving a speech, making an arugement, or giving his inaguraitonal speech would die or be thrown into a state of insanity forever.
2) Cthulhu got his ass handed to him by a boat. I don't want him as president.
3) Of all of the Great Old Ones, X'chll'at-aa would make for the best president.
4) Why would you choose a Great Old One to be president? The Outer Gods are much more powerful.
5) Azathoth would make the for the best president of the Cthulhu Mythos.
6) I'm not mentioning the Elder Gods because they had more morals, thus making them unfit to be mentioned in the Lovecraftian universe.
7) I'm assuming you've read the books, but I'm sure you haven't
8) The Elder Gods only held importance when it came to the Dreamlands.
10) I can't vote Azathoth or X'chll'at-aa for president because they haven't been in any video games or anime (To my knowledge, at least)
11) I'll have to vote for Father Dagon or Mother Hydra, as they slapped more **** than Cthulhu.

Good points, I prefer Nyaralathotep for president personally, he is a Pharaoh.

However I must disagree with a few:
1) That is, those who are A. Not already Insane B. Not of his cult or C. Not Deep Ones yet.
2) Cthulhu, while getting his head split open by a boat, wasn't beaten by it. he was merely taken back while Ry'leh drug his ass down.
3) X'chll'at-aa was added in from the RPG, I prefer using only Lovecraft's own work.
4) True. But they're cosmic power would destroy the planet in most cases, and would be like Cthulhu's bad parts (Insanity, etc.) only magnified.
5) Azazoth is MINDLESS. He has to kept asleep or else when he wakes up, the Universe, which is his dream, WILL END.
6) I have good sir, I have.
7)As for Father Dagon and Mother Hydra, I'd vote for them :3
