I think I'm through volume 4.
Yea, I'm slow.

As busy as you are nowadays, i don't blame you lol.
I haven't read it in a while. I need to catch up on it.

I love that series. This series never fails to make me smiles, no matter how bad my mood is. I picked up the latest 2 volumes for cheap the other day because the local Boarders is going out of business.
Tragically I don't think there going to make an anime out of it. The author feels the humor wouldn't translate well. At least that was the story a year or so ago, maybe the situations changed. We can only hope.

Or maybe, she could appear an some other anime as a guest or do a crossover.
but this one here is a bad idea lol.

yeah i myself am behind on reading it.. but i think i have every volume up till 9 and have read through 6... i think.... and i indeed agree this needs to have an anime... as for the reasons mentioned... i have no idea on that - but azumanga got an anime... this one NEEDS an anime :P
its just too damn hilarious... i really should read more :P

It is a fantastic little series. I'd even go as far as to say I find it even funnier than Azumanga Daioh (which is quite a big thing for me).
I agree that I'd have liked to see Yotsuba as an anime, but I heard Kiyohiko Azuma was against the idea, saying he wanted to keep it in its original form. I suppose that's understandable. Perhaps he believes noone could pull it off as well as he has.

Yotsuba&... Definetely one of my favorite manga: it has the same style of drawing of Azu Daioh (not to mention the same author), it's absurdly funny, basically plot-less and it's great as a day brightener.
To make a long story short, Yotsuba& is

For those who haven't seen them, here are some samples of the closest thing to a Yotsuba& anime we'll likely ever see:

^ Heh. I have to show that to my friend. After all, she was the one who introduced me to Yotsuba. She's a pretty big Azuma Kiyohiko fan. She loaned me one of the volumes to read and I loved it. I read some volumes on Onemanga, but I'm not up-to-date on the series. I should really get back to reading it.

what I find most funny is that the author of both of those series created a hentai manga before he even went on to produce the 2 series.

Indeed, it is very good.
But if you intend to go the way of Jack Sparrow it might be a little tougher for you these days, what with scanlation giants like Mangafox and Onemanga being all but taken down. :\
But if you see the volumes in a bookstore or something don't hesitate to pick them up.
