Since its been a while without any news, I thought I should update you guys on the situation.
I had over 200 entries in the queue which had to be checked. I just finished my "first pass" through all of them today.

Now here's what is going to happen.
- Everyone who sent in videos for a normal episode is still going to be waiting quite a while
- If you sent in a video for the 7 seconds episode, and i told you that its accepted, then it will be featured in the 7 second episode, which I will begin putting together shortly.
- If I told you that I would make a decision later, or your video would be sent to the review committee, or something else along those lines, then your video may either be saved for a later episode, or rejected.
- The review committee is being disbanded, because it really doesn't work out too well. I'll be replacing it with something else.

Good luck with the credits there. Seems like that alone would take up a good portion of the video.

There will be a 6 sometime. I'm not sure if it would be done by the big two on this site or not. But I am sure that someone will take the name and create a #6 if there is no word about it here by 2012 or so.

Well. SSG was the primary on 5. So i suppose you'd have to have either his or Xarx permission if not both. But the anime Remix guy is supposed to have 1.5 out in august so who knows. I think i'd rather have a hell 6 though. MOAR GEASS!!!!

Wtch any of the AMV Hell videos...I dont see a copyright, do you? Yeah someone will continue the series wether or not they have permission. I won't because I couldn't handle a project that big but I do know some people would be able to and would want to.

No, that's not true at all. AMV means Anime Music Video - since Zarx hasn't given any special name to his AMVs, anyone can just go ahead and name it with the number of their choosing.

I have no problem playing it, but I have lost several disks trying to burn it to DVD, I always just figured it was my computer's fault though.

I downloaded the torrent and then later another one. Either way, it never seems to work...save for this one time I put my flash drive in a blu-ray player. Other than that, it's the only AMV Hell that won't play on my PS3 due to file corruption. I even put it on a disk and its still apparently corrupted.

AMV Hell 5 is fairly well known to use some esoteric encoding options (despite being an H.264/AAC MP4), the upshot being that it won't play properly on many devices. It'll play on your Mac or PC, but chances on consoles, phones, etc are slim to none. If you want to play it somewhere else, you'll have to transcode it yourself, or use media server software that does the transcoding for you.

I watch and enjoy the credits sequence as well - while in honesty I've not been a fan of the song "Mainstream" used in first season of the Minis, other credit sequences have been some of the best parts of the Hells and really complete them, bestowing some genuinely affecting spirit. I always think that a video should include credits, even if it's only just scrolling plain text - effort should be acknowledged, and when someone might not always have access to the web having sources listed on the video itself is a convenience.

I just finished going through and making corrections in regards to cropping and aspect ratios (which takes an awful long time, because I need to correct stuff on about 1/4 of videos).
I also have the videos sorted in an okay order.

Tasks remaining:
- put transitions between all 100 clips (repetitive and annoying, but shouldn't take too long)
- make an opening and ending (no idea how long this would take)
- make credits (MANY hours worth of work here)
