I was really bored one day, then something struck me. I was on the toilet...Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea to Mix Metal Gear Solid with Mulan. Then when I started to do it, it really did not seem like a good idea. I stuck through it though and the finished product seemed to turn out really good. I submitted it into Megacon, it didn't win anything but I was told the crowd loved it.

I never got round to playing MGS4 (appalling, I know, I should hand in my Gamer Card) so some of the injokes have perhaps passed over my head, but nonetheless this did indeed come out very well. The concept itself is solid - especially as Metal Gear's greater story arc revolves around soldiers' almost racial struggles for dignity and identity - and the scenes were appropriately selected, such as Ocelot saying that he'll make a man out of incapacitated soldiers suffering in the courtyard. The singalong section at the end was neatly catharthic, inviting us to exult in the general chorus, and I won't deny that giving the girl's line to Vamp of all people got a chuckle out of me. The playback was a bit choppy, but it was still entertaining from start to finish.
