Anyone else notice all the registered lurkers? I mean what's the deal, you don't even need to be a member of the forum to browse or post. Yet there is hundreds of them! It doesn't make sense really.
Also anyone else notice SSGWBTD's post count is really high, yet there isn't even that many posts on the forum, and he also only has two posts in the list. I mean, that's abusing your powers to the max!
From his profile:
Name: ssgwnbtd
Whereas the stats say there is only 4378 posts, currently.

I've never really understood why people make such a fuss over post count.
This subject brings me back to the good old days of post-count-boosting at Mugglenetforums.com, when the newbies were griping that they'd never be able to catch up to the post count of the veteran members if there were rules against pointless posts, so the admin deleted the ENTIRE forum--every single conversation, theory, fan-fic, and ongoing discussion...just to be 'fair' to the newcomers and start everyone over at zero.
That's probably the most pissed-off I've ever been at an admin. :D

eh, at the old ODM forums, it's owner has posts going into 8 digits...didn't quite matter in the end.

Yeah, I agree that it's hilarious in retrospect. :D At the time it was sort of heartbreaking, because there were some really fascinating and nerdily-brilliant things posted that were lost, and I've never seen them posted quite the same way again. I permanently lost a couple of pretty funny fan-fics I hadn't bothered to save elsewhere (I learned a valuable lesson from that, though.)
Mugglenet eventually cut off ties completely with Mugglenetforums due to that sort of (and other) weird stuff, that's why their official forum is CoSforums now.
