Once in a while someone splices a bit of "South Park" or some other show into one that contains anime (there's a skit in /0 that has Randy Marsh trying to masturbate to a bunch of hentai).

There is also one "Kappa Mikey" clip in 4. That was probably allowed because that show is a spoof of anime....for similar reasons, I won't be surprised if we see an "Avatar: the Last Airbender" video in coming episodes/hells.

Most of the Sword in the Stone effects were Photoshop-edited screencaps. I'll give a little rundown on the few major stuff I did:

-The gritty print is actually a few high-quality textures saved as PNGs then layered over the video at low opacity (15% or less)

-The quick moving shots were still images from the video given plenty of filters and edits in Photoshop then slightly zoomed and shifted every couple of frames in Premiere.

-The color-shifting, strobe, and lighting effects are all available in Adobe Premiere by default (I'm still using Pro 2.0/CS2). For color-shifting, just edit the color values at select frames and Premiere will blend into them.

This episode was an unexpected surprise. The only things that I disliked about it was the onslaught of Weird Al music.. way to much for a single amv.

The Racoons and SMB clip was fantastic, the stand out of the episode while the Hey Arnold, Time Squad and the opening were also very good.

Well I thought the stand out in this one was Malev's, The Sword in the Stone video at the beginning or the beginning clip itself. Personal favorites were the Dexter's Labratory/Maniac clip by N.P.C.C and the Snow White one.

I also feel someone should mention how good Doomimus's Pocahontas/Hide and Seek was. It seemed to me like it was directed at everyone complaining about overused jokes and memes.

Dude, my joke on you backfired pretty darn hard. I didn't think that that Dr. Rockso clip would get as much positive attention as it did let alone make it in to begin with.

For anyone who wants to know what were talking about, I made the clip out of frustration after my High School of the Dead Clip (that will be in AMV Paradise 3. link below) that uses the same audio was rejected due to overuse of the joke. Zuiichi commented with the following statement, "hmm not my cup tea I say nay this joke has been used and I still haven't seen this song used in a amv where a girl actually gets wet now THAT I want to see." Chewi agreed with what Zuiichi said and thus that Dr. Rockso clip was born.

Part of the reason that it was creepy was that I was obsessed with that movie when I was little.

I think it was meant to be sexual (you could see the kid turn the dial to "old man" at one point, which made me think that he was adjusting the level of horniness).

I bet this episode won't have its submissions closed for a long time. Would be really nice if Zarxrax could put some kind of release schedule out but judging by how long it took the last special one to make I would say September or October would be the time this one wrap's up.

About the release schedule I mentioned, clearly nobody can tell just how many good or bad AMV's will be submitted so giving exact days for each episode would be an unreasonable request. My idea was more of like what he did with episode 3 saying a week before it was released when it would come out.

Some kind of warning would be nice and it would be really good for people trying to squeeze into the next minis episode before it comes out. Just by having a submissions (Open) (Closed) type thing would be great too.

I think everyone needs to have some patience.
Knowing when the episode will be released won't change anything.
Zarx knows what he's doing and will close submissions if needed.

Other than peoples anxiety, I see no real reason Zarx should have to make promise dates as to when episodes will be released. If he does not wish to do so.

There are some people who would like to try and make it into the next minis episode before its released, THAT is why it would change something.

Also I know Zarxrax is looking through this thread so I will post this here for him. I was going through and watching the old minis episodes from this season and I found out that VLC player glitches up a lot when using the new minis episode because of their .mkv format. I doubt that will change anything but It is worth noting that there are some problems with the playback of the videos. I don't have that problem when watching my other animes in that format just the minis series for some reason.

This episode had its issues durring the second half of the My Little Pony/Fly Away clip. Everything got blocky and the thing froze several times. Again, its only with the minis episodes in mkv and I have even tried to re-download them.

Well I know from experience that just because a clip is submitted before a certain deadline doesn't mean Zarx will decide to put it in that episode.
I have multiple clips that are being saved for a later episode.
You can usually tell by how may stars he gives the videos.
He does this for organization.

As far as your VLC problem...
I use media player classic with cccp.
And it runs perfect for me.
I doubt that it's a problem on Zarx end.
It's likely a problem with VLC.

Unless there's a hiatus for a specific reason, submissions never "close" - there's no need for it. Whenever enough clips are accumulated to fill out a Mini, it's released - any accepted entries that aren't included in that Mini roll over onto the next episode.

I've been thinking about it, but I dunno. Depends how much interest there is. We generally need at least 20 or so good videos (considering that about half or more of entries are rejected, that means we would probably need 40+ live action entries). I dunno if there is that much interest for it.
