I actually used to make full length AMVs and not short ones for Minis. They were mostly Hellsing AMVs for my girlfriend, but because I was making them out of love they actually turned out fairly well and I sort of miss having them around. I deleted them from my computer after they got taken down on YouTube since I hadn't known about all that "copyright" crap', but now I wish I had slapped them on a memory stick or something. My two favorites both used Alice Cooper songs, one with scenes from the Hellsing anime set to "Is It My Body?" and the other using scenes from the OVA dedicated to Rip Van Winkle set to "Hello, Hooray". The only problem with the second one was I raped the Hell out of Window Movie Maker's special effects so there were a LOT of zooms, color changes, the kind of junk I wouldn't dare do now. So does anyone recall what there first attempts at AMVs looked like?

New panda thread!
I was going to copy and edit to post a new thread to show how unecissary this one I would have been copying is but I was hoping you made the "Philosophy" thread. That way I would have something worthwhile to work with.
My videos ruled then got worse!

^They got worse because you ran out of good ideas, or did you lose your editing touch? Or somehow both?

^I'd suggest re-watching all the AMV Hells if you want to try and get your groove back. Probably the main reason I've gotten so good is I fell in love with the series years ago when I first came across it on YouTube, and it became my crutch during some of the more difficult times in my life. I absorbed the general humor and style of the series and it became my own, so when I decided it was time to start giving back to the series that gave me so much, it was like it came naturally to me. Every time I make a video intended for Minis, before I finish I ask myself "Does this feel AMV Hellish'? Is the humor + editing + quality up to par?", and if everything checks out, I submit it. Whenever I feel I'm losing my touch, I just sit down with a stiff drink and watch the old AMV Hell movies to refresh the essence of the series that dwells within me. Give it a shot.

If you don't have time to sit through hours of AMV Hell material, you could always just watch my personal favorites: http://amvhell.com/video.php?do=viewdetails&videoid=629
I made that what seems like ages ago . . They're still some of my favorite AMV Hell videos though, maybe they'll inspire you.

They have gotten better, smarter and higher quality in general what I meant to say was I don't feel a soul in the new videos I make.
